Sticky Buns

Preparation

  1. Combine water, olive oil, honey, salt, flour and water in a large bowl.
  2. Mix well and knead for 10 -15 minutes until the dough is elastic.
  3. Transfer the dough into a well oiled bowl.
  4. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap and let rise once for 1 hour in a warm place, until the dough has doubled.
  5. Preheat oven to 375˚F (190˚C).
  6. Cut the dough into 8 portions and shape into balls. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap. Set aside.
  7. Combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, honey and salt in a small bowl and mix well.
  8. Spread the mixture onto the bottom and sides of a cast iron pan. Line pecans on top of the mixture, and place shaped dough on top.
  9. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes
  10. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before turning it over onto a plate.
  11. Enjoy!
