Creole Crispy Fried Shrimp: Perfect Party Food

Whenever I have friends coming over, to watch a game or to just hang out, I love to make plates of bite-sized eats they can munch on and wash down with beer. You have to say, spending time with friends is always better with good snacks and drinks. One of those eats I like to make for friends and family is this Creole crispy fried shrimp.

This fried shrimp is a winner. And they tend to vanish quickly from the snack table. It doesn’t surprise me, though. The shrimp is crunchy on the outside, thanks to the crispy coating, and tender on the inside. The kick that the Creole spice gives the shrimp makes it even more interesting. It’s the perfect beer match and the perfect food to serve at any informal party.

I really love this Creole crispy fried shrimp. I love the crunch it makes with every bite, and I love how that crunch gives way to soft and tender meat inside the crispy coating. The shrimp itself is spicy, marinated in Creoleseasoning, hot sauce, and other spices. Its batter, on the other hand, is made with a mix of cornmeal, flour, and more Creole seasoning. If you love your beer snacks hot, then you’ll love this shrimp. Make a big batch of it on your next party, and serve them with lemon wedges and a mixture of mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and black pepper for dipping. This wonderful recipe is from Lisa of Creole Contessa.
