Crab imperial is notoriously easy to make and needs only half an hour of cooking time. Most of that time will be taken up by prebaking the pastry cups, as the crabmeat filling will only need a ten-minute warm-up in the oven. The crabmeat mixture is what makes this appetizer delicious. In this mixture, you’ll find crabmeat and diced brioche bread seasoned with lemon juice and zest, Cape Cod seasoning, and hot sauce. Vegetables and herbs like red bell pepper, shallots, chives, and parsley add a layer of flavor to the filling. Mascarpone cheese and heavy cream give the mixture more body and flavor, as well as creaminess. This amazing recipe is from Michelle of A Dish of Daily Life.
