Cabbage Soup with Hamburger

We don’t usually serve cabbage, and that is sad because it’s a very healthy vegetable. Last night I made this soup for dinner, it was perfect. Check it out.

You’ll Need:

2-3 pounds of hamburger.
1 chopped head of cabbage.
2 cups of diced celery.
2 cups of diced white or yellow onion.
1 diced green bell pepper.
2-3 cloves of minced garlic.
5-6 cups of beef broth.
2 (14 oz) cans of diced tomatoes (with garlic, basil and oregano).
2 tsps of oregano.
2 tsps of basil.
½ tsp of red pepper flakes.
A few shakes of black pepper.
½ tsp of salt.

How to:

In a skillet, brown the hamburger and place it in the crock pot.
Add all the ingredients to the hamburger and stir to mix.
Cook on high for 5 to 6 hours or on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Voila!

Simple, easy and yummy! This cabbage soup with hamburger and vegetables is so rich of flavors and so good for the health too. It’s perfect for a cold night of winter! Give it a shot and let me know what you think.
