You’ll Need:
1 lb of boneless skinless chicken breast.
½ cup of cornstarch.
Salt and pepper.
2 beaten eggs.
½ cup of vegetable oil.
¾ cup of sugar.
4 tbsps of ketchup.
½ cup of distilled white vinegar.
1 tbsp of low sodium soy sauce.
1 tsp of garlic salt.
½ tsp of red pepper flake.
Sesame seeds.
How to:
Cut chicken into 1 inch chunks and place with cornstarch, salt and pepper in a plastic ziploc bag and shake to coat.
Remove the excess and place the chicken in a shallow baking dish then dip in the bean eggs to coat.
In a saucepan over medium heat, heat the oil then cook the chicken for 2 to 3 minutes on either side.
In a bowl, mix together the sugar, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, salt and red pepper flake.
Transfer the cooked chicken in a greased baking dish then coat with ¾ of the sauce mixture.
In a preheated oven to 325°, bake the chicken for 45 minutes stirring every 15 minutes.
Before serving, pour the rest of the sauce mixture over the chicken and serve hot.
Easy, peasy and delicious! I usually serve this chicken with rice or a vegetable salad! Seriously guys, you should definitely give this a try, it’s worth it!
