Sometimes, when I feel like treating my family to a steak dinner but I’m not up to cooking the steaks myself, we go for a drive to the nearest Texas Roadhouse. We love the food there, especially the starters. My favorite Texas Roadhouse starter is their rattlesnake bites.
I have no idea why these babies are called rattlesnake bites. But who am I to question genius? And in my mind, whoever invented these breaded and deep-fried cheese balls with jalapenos hiding in them is indeed a genius. I’ve tried recreating them at home, but this recipe is as close as I can get to approximating them. Check it out.
