I have never been much of a cook, but this one seems to work!
So, on those days when I’m feeling extra lazy, this is a recipe that I reach for instead of one of those expensive takeout menus. My kids don’t even complain when they know this is for dinner. They know it’s going to be good!
Ingredients
4 Skinless Chicken Breasts (cleaned and trimmed)
1 16oz Jar of Green Mountain Gringo Mild Salsa (but any kind is fine!)
⅓ Cup Water
1½ TB Dried Parsley
½ TB Dried Cilantro
1 Tsp Onion Powder
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
½ TB Dried Oregano
½ Tsp Smoked Paprika
½ Tsp Cumin
1 Tsp Chili Powder
¼ Tsp Black Pepper
Instructions:
Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker. Then add your salsa, water, and spices. Give it a mix.
Place the cover on and cook on low for 6-7 hours (or until the chicken it cooked through).
